i keep chasing my goal.

i keep chasing my goal.

I was introduced to BMX racing through my father as I was 6. I began riding mountain bike at the age of 10. When I was 14, my friend took me to downhill riding, I was so fascinated that I began committing in downhill racing ever since.

Having had riding skills from BMX racing, I won my first Japanese national round when I was 18. I also passed the qualifying of my first World cup in the same year.

At the age of 19, I traveled to New Zealand and rode with the world top riders. That experience clarified my goal of riding at the world top level. Based in Japan,I am registered as a developing athlete of Japan Cycling Federation and a member of MS-Mondraker team.

In 2011, I began challenging the World. I have been competing around Europe, North America, Oceania and Asia. Mountain biking is being majorly recognized and developed in Europe and North America, however, in Japan, the level of trails and the recognition of the sport are still below the world’s standard. To adapt to the world’s standard and chase my goal, I am competing in races around the world.

As my results and myself are improving each race, I feel more confident of

accomplishing my goal.

I believe that my success of challenging the world would contribute to the development of the sport in Japan and lead Japanese riders to the world.
