Sophie started her skijumping career quite late as she switched her alpine ski equipment for ski jumping boots and skis in 2014.

It only took her 4 years until she reached the status of the Austrian Women National Team in skijumping.

Sophie basically had a rocket start to her career and quickly managed to become one of Austria`s best in women ski jumping.

Her first full world cup season (2020/2021) was very successful. Sophie reached 3 top 10 results in individual competitions and won a team event in Ljubno (SLO). To round up her season, she finished the overall world cup ranking in 12th place.

She has now become an integral part of the Austrian team and showed her potential as she was also part of the “Golden Girls” at the FIS Nordic World Championships in Oberstdorf (GER) in 2021.

Within a very short period of time, Sophie is a world champion in skijumping and will try to improve her results to reach the goal of becoming an Olympic athlete in 2022.
